Should you be concerned about the threats of infections to your computer, server and network?

According to the Eurostat 2010 survey, Yes!  Eurostat surveyed all the European countries and discovered that 84% of Internet users use some sort of security software for their protection however nearly one third of all Internet users still caught a virus or malware threat.

Even more worrying is 3% of Internet users suffered some financial loss due to phishing attacks or fraudulent payments.  Some phishing scams use a fake website to look like the original legitimate site and get people to reveal their details such as banks accounts or login credentials.

Latvia recorded the highest rate of fraud with 8% of its Internet users affected, followed in close second by the UK (United Kindgom) with 7% of Internet users being affected.
